“Congress funded Trump’s missile shield without knowing what it is, how it would work, or what it would cost.” Well we know more about it than we do the 600b- 1 trillion and fraud every year. I’m more worried about that… and so should congress.

I believe that "Golden Shower" is perhaps a more appropriate name.

I second the Reagan Library recommendation. I also recently had a chance to go through the Carter Historic Site in Plains (the library is in Atlanta). What a stark contrast between an honorable, humble man and our current gold-obsessed ogre. I’m guessing he or his family is getting rich off of the Golden Dome. His motivation always boils down to stoking his ego or enriching himself, preferably both.

A lot of these tests were conducted from Kauai or offshore of Hawaii and I can confirm that the 50% success rate in carefully controlled single-threat scenario is pretty accurate. I have followed this quite closely over the years.

The notion that a reliable all-threat system could be operational by the end of 2028 is simply ludicrous.

Golden Dome is a physics problem, that can't be solved.

I’m a former Air Force officer who was on active duty in the mid 1980’s at the tail end of the Cold War. Nuclear warfare scared the hell out of us then and still should now. Our efforts for a safer world would be better spent on nurturing strong alliances like NATO, and open dialogue with other nations like China and Russia. Nuclear warfare is horrifying for both sides. Spending billions or trillions on a false sense of security is senseless and a massive waste of resources that could be more effectively spent.

Let’s spend our time and treasure on peace initiatives instead.

This reminds me of that West Wing episode when there is a test for a novel missile defense program, which fails and the missile misses the target by 137 miles.

President Bartlett wryly retorts: "When you consider the size of outer space, Leo, that's not so bad."

$24 billion taxpayers will never see again.

Reding The Fort Bragg Cartel at the moment. Outstanding.

Is Golden Dome the ghost of the Reagan era Star Wars initiative?

Who has the best missile defense shield? Is it Ukraine? Is it Israel? It certainly is not Venezuela. So, now Europe has to join the US taxpayers in paying for this defense shield, which we do not know will ever exist or work in Trump's lifetime?
