Thank you to my readers
I just wanted to write a quick word of thanks to those of you who have been reading this Substack and helping grow its readership. Since we launched in May, we have grown to nearly 300 subscribers, and I’m grateful for each and every one of you.
I joined Substack to tell the story of Manadel al-Jamadi, the suspected Iraqi prisoner who died in 2003 in CIA interrogation in Abu Ghraib prison, and the Navy SEALs who risked their lives to capture him and wound up taking the fall for the CIA.
We are still learning new facts about this 20-year-old case thanks to a pair of Freedom of Information Act lawsuits I’ve filed against the CIA with help from Loevy & Loevy.
If you’re new to this site, here’s one story I wrote about a never-before-seen CIA Inspector General report into ghost prisoners. And here’s another one about some new disclosures that came as a result of my lawsuit.
Hopefully this is just the start. We’re asking a judge to force the CIA to disclose the results of its investigation into al-Jamadi’s death. We should have a ruling later this year.
Thanks again for reading and please consider a paid subscription if you value this work!
