Embattled Navy SEAL captain pushes back
Capt. Brad Geary says he's being railroaded for the death of SEAL candidate Kyle Mullen and the Navy is covering up evidence of steroid use.
Embattled Navy SEAL Capt. Brad Geary, who the Navy has decided to hold responsible for the 2022 death of a SEAL trainee, gave his side of the story in a lengthy podcast interview, potentially risking his military career to correct what he sees as an injustice.
“It’s time for the truth to come out,” Geary said in an appearance on the Shawn Ryan Show, a video podcast hosted by a former Navy SEAL. “By coming forward now, when I’m still active duty, I’m risking a lot.” He said speaking out could cost him his Trident, his rank, his pension. “The sky’s the limit,” he said.
Over the course of nearly six hours, Geary bared his soul. He confessed his problems with anger, revealed his family’s struggles with his prolonged absences, and discussed how his religious faith sustained him through adversity.
