I spent some time talking to Pierre Rausini, a convicted drug trafficker who recently wrapped up two decades in custody. Rausini made some waves a few weeks ago when he dropped a startling claim on a podcast about four former U.S. special operators working for a Mexican cartel.

According to Rausini, a former Delta Force soldier, two ex-Navy SEALs, and a veteran of the 75th Ranger Regiment have helped train the New Generation Jalisco Cartel’s paramilitary wing for years. These former U.S. special operators oversee several hundred ex-soldiers, primarily from Mexico and Central America.
